Socoder -> Off Topic -> Morning Waffle

Off to the hospital, this morning, so had to look vaguely presentable. Have got up at a decent time, had a bath, and got dressed for the first time in about a month!
.. I'm now shaking like crazy. My body can no longer handle such a wild, crazy amount of movement! All that strain and effort has left me exhausted, and I still have to get in a car, go all the way to bloody Salford, then wait around for hours for my CT Scan. Dangit..

Still, something good, this morning.
I got an email from a forum I once joined. Apparently the owner got his PayPal account hacked into, and now owes PayPal about £250! Poor fella.
So he's mass-mailed all the members looking for folk to chip in, and help.
The forum in question is one that I initially joined to say "Hey, twats, stop the fuck stealing my game." since they were happily pirating SpikeDislike.

As the type of guy who always feels sorry when people get hacked, and never holds a grudge*, I can't help but laugh
Karma.
Awesome!

The irony is, of course, if they hadn't stolen my (and every other persons) games, they probably would've got a number of handy donations. Now they can quite frankly piss off.
Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

... I'm so fucking cold without my Dressing Gown on!!!

*PowerMousey is an exception.

Holy shitballs! I only just noticed that the times in the "topic list" section of the forum, aren't effected by the user's time zone! Shows how often I bother to use THAT version of the forum! God bless the sidebars!

Note the time difference between the sidebar's "Morning Waffle" and the forum-view's

Well, hope everything goes OK for you Jay.

And I couldn't help but give a chuckle myself at some pirate's problems. I almost feel sorry for him. Almost. Not quite.

As for looking at the times - I'm too busy reading the posts (and drooling over the SW Calendar )to notice.

Shit!
Right now I'm having a hard time to reacting to this. On the one hand, I'm like "Wow, they actually bothered to pirate your game?! That's kind of an honor, since it means people think it rocks" and "It sucks that people pirate games made by solitary developers, or even indie games in general"

Was quick and painless.
The trip to Salford took about 25 minutes. The waiting time was around 15 minutes. The actual CT scan was about 2, then we all had a coffee, and spent another 25 minutes coming back home.
FFS, stupid damn hospital being so bloody far away.

Anyhow, scan's done. Hopefully it doesn't show anything bad, because I haven't the foggiest when I'll get the results.

Next trip to Salford is on Dec 27th, when I get the much shittier MRI scan. That's the big thing that goes THWUMP THWUMP THWUMP, and goes on for about half an hour. God I hate that one!!!

Then we're up there AGAIN on New Years Eve, to see a doctor about my tablets. Quite why I have to go all the way up there, for that, is beyond me. Why can't my GP do it? Takes the piss... Grrr.. Bloody brain tumours!!

My sister's having a day off work, today. This means I have to sit here watching mindless shite on TV all bloody day. Hahaha

Oh, goody, it's Big Bang Theory, the show that thinks its really hilarious, and has the most obvious canned laughter since I Love Lucy. Hahahaha

At least she's not watching Jeremy Kyle, the "unscripted" "real life" show with as many daily fights as Eastenders. Hahaha

This show sucks ass. Hahaha

Shoot me now. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!!!!

Oh, hang on, I forgot to insert a shit geeky gag that nobody gets, but the entire audience goes wild for, because its a mildly geeky reference. Hahahaha

Windows has Crashed. HAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH!!!!!!!

Big Bang Theory is like the Nerd-version of blackface.

Do the doctors have any clue what's wrong yet though?

"What's wrong?" ... Brain Tumour!!
The tumour wasn't cancerous, and has been removed.
Quite what the fuck it WAS, if it wasn't cancerous, hasn't been discussed. I think it's more a case of "It won't spread", because having obscure growths is pretty much the definition of cancer... Right? *shrugs*

Whatever.
The scans are there to ensure its not coming back. I'm still healthy, and that's all I can ask for. It might be annoying to constantly keep trundling up to bloody Salford every so often, but at least I CAN trundle up to Salford. I guess I'm lucky.

*cries a bit*

Having a migraine day, today. Everything's annoyingly loud, even the kettle. GAH!!

On a scale of "Getting Better", today ranks a good 8 or 9! Maybe even a 10!!!
Today, for starters, I've not been sick! This is a remarkable event in my current condition! No sick waking up, no sick after tablets, nothing, nada, zip. No sicky! Great start to the day, and makes a change!!

Secondly, and this is the biggy, I went OUT
Me and Mum walked down to the local MiniMarket, where we sat and had a coffee in the cafe. I say walked.. It was more of a stumble for me, but I made it all the way there, and back, without collapsing into a heap!!
Feels good to get out, and with any luck I'll be doing plenty more of it over the next few days.
Wootsocks!

... Now to get back to that coding thingumy.

Another day, another trip out!!
Today, me and Mum headed to the Post Office, where she bought some stamps and posted the Xmas cards.
This might not seem like the most exciting thrill ride in the universe, but to me it was fantastic! Right slap bang into the middle of the village, as opposed to yesterday's outskirts trip. I got to see the outside of the new KwikSave shop, which opened in March!! Maybe tomorrow, I might get to go inside!! Meanwhile, I was happy enough to get into the Post Office, where an old customer spotted me, but obviously didn't think "Hey, that's the guy from the shop!!" as he carried on walking, oblivious!

After buying stamps, sticking them on envelopes, and posting them all, we headed back home.
Along the way, we ran into an old friend, stood chatting for a few minutes, and all got choked up.
... Kinda glad I didn't meet anyone else, now. I'd've been in tears by the time I got home!!

I thought recovery would be the hard part, but it seems the social aspect is going to be even tougher to get through! Can't go wandering around, bumping into people, explaining about the whole tumour thing, then bursting into tears all the time!!
I might lock myself away in my bedroom, from now on. Much easier!!
