It’s not QBASIC, it’s QBasic. It was named that way since it’s not actually BASIC, it’s more of a lite version of Pascal.

That's one more thing I've learned then, I never knew that.

Hm, Wiki says it's an evolution of QuickBASIC and lists it with BASIC variants. I've never used QuickBASIC so I can't comment.
I heard years ago that it was named QBasic without the BASIC acronym because it wasn't a true BASIC. I don't remember why it wasn't considered a true BASIC, though.
I do remember that it's like 90% the same as Pascal, which is why I mentioned it.

Pascal ought to have a resurgence. It was a nice language. Nearly C, but not quite, and just verbose enough to be readable.

Write in C, Write in C
Write in C, oh, Write in C.
Pascal won't quite cut it.

Oooh, you're right actually, 9572AD.

QuickBASIC and QBasic had the exact same IDE, so it was easy to get confused, but QBasic was the one I meant.

I also love a bit of Pascal. I remember the one I first used had a weird feature where if your program had a divide by zero bug, it would cause the IDE to extremely violently shoot the source code listing out of the printer.
