Socoder -> Concept/Design -> LoveLibrary design

I'm planning of writing a new application designed for portable hardware. It will initially be targeted for Microsoft Zune, but might be ported to iPhings too...

Basically, the idea is to let PUAs and others carry with them a source of knowledge of what to do in-field even when they're without internet access!
I was inspired by a fake 'future' advertizement that I saw in the latest issue of Wired magazine, which was supposed to be for a neural interface that would come up with retorts inside your brain whenever someone tried to diss you while out.
Unfortunately, I don't know how to design neural interfaces, so this will have to do!

Here are the requirements/design goals I've come up with so far:

• Categories: Gurus, kissing, sex, openers, kino
• Searching: Categories, specific words, specific articles
• Ability to add new articles!
• Intuitive interface

What feature would you appreciate in this sort of application?

|edit| LoveLibrary is just a codename! |edit|

So I don't quite get what your building. As the user will I run it, select 'openers' and it'll say 'can I buy you a drink?' or another random one?

If it's just randomly reciting stored pre-set values then why not just build it as an Excel spreadsheet?

Guy: "Hold on a sec, I've got to check my Zune!"

Not everyone follows that step.

There's a few "Random Tip" Twitter feeds out there. Try to attach a few of those to your software to make a "Tip of the Day" type of page.

No, it won't say a random one! It'll list all the openers you've added so that you can select one.

For instance:

- Elvis opener
- Are you shy?
- Blind Date

(Ultimate Opener Collection)

|edit| But randomly reciting openers is a good idea! Maybe I could have like a guessing game to see if you've internalized all the openers... |edit|

Tip of the Day is a good idea!

If you already know it, then why do you need an app to remind you of your opener?

Because in-field it can be difficult to remember all the appropriate openers, exactly how they go etc.
It's kinda like training wheels!

(Although, to be frank, if this had been a neural interface, it wouldn't have been training wheels - it would have been an upgrade of your social skillset! I really hope someone manages to make that some day)
