DD's Ear Infection

Open a bottle of Vodka and pour it in to your ear. It should do the trick.
Edit: Depending on the size of your ear canal, you might wanna use a straw.

Working Between Compilers

2nd August 2011

Yeah, what Cower said. It sounds more like you want C# to calculate physics and then have VB.NET use the calculations. Or you could have C++ calculate the physics and have VB.NET or C# use the calculations. Or you could just stick to one language..

I've been playing with C++ vectors.

1st August 2011

So.... if you don't mind my asking, is anything going to replace it? Because usually there is something to replace deprecated things...
Edit: Nevermind, this topic suggests using std::unique_ptr instead!

Do people actually use C++0x? As far as I can tell from Wikipedia, it hasn't been finalized as a standard yet.

If you can, use smartpointers over both.

Afr0's silence

28th July 2011

I'm ok. I've been vacationing in a hotel not too far from Oslo. I was in Oslo on Tuesday. Seeing as I attended summercamp (last year, for my party Red) on the exact same island where the attacks happened, it was a very special experience driving in to Oslo*snip*

Bomb hits Oslo

22nd July 2011

Police has now confirmed that the explosion was caused by a bomb. There's at least 1 dead, but supposedly more (from what I saw on the news).
As much as it sucks to say this on a day like today, this is what we get for several years of agressive warfare a*snip*

Am I allowed to send my request for an invitation using IP over Avian Carriers?
It would be a plus if you could give me your GPS coordinates first, and a promise to give my pidgeons some seeds and water as they arrive with your packets.

RIP : Peter Falk

7th July 2011

Well, I don't know about UK, but in Norway the average age for a male is around 77 years old, so 60 - 65 is considered early to die.
70 is a little older, but still...

Candy from a baby

5th July 2011

I only skimmed the article, but I'm not sure I see what's so wrong about this?
Sure, the motivation of the newspaper probably had a lot to do with selling papers, but the article mentions that the guy who hacked into her phone was an investigator.

RIP : Peter Falk

5th July 2011

I didn't realize he was that old either.
I guess we're slowly facing a generational gap/shift. A lot of great actors that had their heyday in the 60s - 80s (early 90s) have passed away in Norway as well during the last 5 years.
A lot of them were really *snip*

I'm saving money to cover living expenses when I start to study, so I'll probably stay home as much as possible. I'm attending a Foo Fighters concert in Oslo in a little over a week, then maybe *snip*

Science proves part of what Marx has been trying to show all along; for anything other than the most rudimentary work, more pay leads to poorer performance.
