They're things like "You made a cool CRT Monitor emulator" and "You made a fantastic looking menu for the DS scene" and "You made a great looking pseudo-3D version of your maze game" and that sort of thing.

You've done a lot of great things, and should definitely be proud of what you've achieved.

Random online shopping.
And then the excitement of opening boxes the next day.
Oh, the joy.

Question of the Day : October 31st

How do you handle change in your life?

Today marks a year since our move from Bolton to Wigan. It's been quite a change to our lives.

For me, I'm having a much healthier amount of walks, but mentally I've been kinda drained, if I'm honest. Most of this past year's been a bit of a blur, and I'm not 100% sure I'm settled yet.

For Mum, it's been much harder. She's much more of an outdoor/social person than I am, and losing all her local friends has been hard for her. We've chatted with most of the people on the street, now, but nobody seems to pop around for a brew or anything. I think Mum's feeling a bit lonely, if I'm honest, and seeing me sitting on the couch every day isn't helping.
But I think we're at least done with "fixing up" the bungalow, now. The dining room still needs redecorated, but we've both decided that, since the past year's completely knackered us both, we'll leave that until next year.
The biggest jobs now are

A: The carpet for the living room/dining room, which is one big giant floor, so will need both rooms emptied. We'll leave that until Summer when it's safer to leave furniture out in the garden for a few hours..
and
B: The roof isn't leaking, at least, but it sure does look a right mess. That needs a complete redo-from-start, I think.

Other than that, though, I think we're sorted.

Just need to find Mum some chatty friendly neighbours!
