 		Hello all. I am getting back into network programming but I can't find a good packet analyzer/sniffer that's freeware. I need one to debug all outgoing/incoming packet traffic from a a range of apps I have running at once. I've found one (called *sif* Packet Analyzer) but most of it is disableware with a hefty price tag of 300 dollars for simple licensing. Anyone know of one?

 		Someone I know someone (in real life) who is working on a packet sniffer. Although he suggested Ethereal as his isn't fully complete yet.

 		technically diablo, now its WireShark, not Ethereal. note there is no difference other than the change in name, and that only took place because of copyright issues. I've had a lot of success with WireShark/Ethereal and would recommend it.

By the by, wireshark uses a free library called WinPCap, It is highly recommended for anyone that wants to get into packet capturing.
