Soooo the new Intellivision is officially dead? - Linkage Good. It was a crap sysem BITD that never got better with age. My wife's family had two and we used to play it before we even got engaged, 30 yeas ago. Burger Time was good but the controllers were fecking awful.

If they DID intend to do it, I reckon COVID probably killed any chance of it happening. Aw well.

It's been at the arse-end of gaming news for a few years now. Even before the Atari announcement of a new machine.

I don't expect either to either ever releae or become successful if they do.

But hey, ho - I'm still waiting for my Konix MultiSysytem to arrive. I'll be playing on the Infinium Labs Phantom once that come out too... Should be any minute now

From what I have heard, they simply over promised and the idea would have been completely unaffordable.

Honestly I thought it had a better chance of materialising than the AtariBox...I say as I type this on my AtariBox.

While the original system was novel at the time it was crap, with even the handful of good games running poorly. The Amico was related in company name only, though. I was quite excited for a cheap, local multiplayer focused, no-DLC or other payments with games in the $10 range system. Unfortunately it seems the entire system was engineered into the "controller" which was essentially a smartphone with a few buttons and no phone, and the cost of them was, well, not cheap. Also they were delayed due to COVID but instead of hoarding the investor money they had, Tommy kept paying everyone and taking trips to showcase the thing, and buying ads and stuff. When they finally were "able" to get it manufactured they had no money and were $10 million in the hole. Disappointing.
