I'm getting sick of seeing "gritty realism" in my games.
If you've played Super Smash Bros, that's where I've found it sticks out the most.
You've got all these great 80s characters, with great recognisable shapes and in bright colours.. Then you've got all those shitty human characters who all look the fucking same, and that I've never really played as, because they're all as dull as dishwater.

I say go for a stylised world with a bright vibrant landscape and a wonderful arcade feel.

I agree with Jay - stylised all the way.
