Nearing completion, now.

I've got all 150 levels up to "Release" standards, and only have a couple more tweaks to do to a couple of the themes.. Mostly in the audio department... eg, the Duckpond stage doesn't have nearly enough quacking in it.

I've added theme titles to the scoreboards, fixed the weird "floating sheep" issue, and if I'm honest, the game's pretty much done.

Tonight I spent a good couple of hours fucking about with iTunesConnect, uploading the 25 screenshots (5 shots x 5 resolutions!) and then typing in all that god damned fucking GameCenter Scoreboard info..
I've not yet added any Achievements into the game. I can do that, later, if people REALLY want those... Fairly easy, given how much numerical stats I'm gathering along the way.

But.. .. Yeah.. I think I'm pretty much done.

Like I said, there's a couple of extra bits and pieces to fix, and I need to stress-test the scoreboards, but otherwise all's looking good and proper, and finished, and sorted

Fucking Achievements.. GOD, I hate adding those bloody things to iTunes Connect..

.. But I have done, and that's a good thing.
I could also do with a none-gamecenter way of displaying your earned achievements, but I haven't yet come up with one!

God, I HATE doing those. So, fucking repetitive..
If I type "Pass x spikes in one round." one more time, I'm going to go fucking mental!!

Stress testing and bug finding.

Been an uploading day, today..
I've uploaded the Free-Edition to GameJolt. The free edition has only the first 5 themes available, but that's still a nice 50 levels to play through.

After that, I uploaded to GooglePlay. (Rant Spoilered)

I'm now just waiting on Apple to Approve the game, and I hope to god that they do, and then I can click a bunch of "Publish" buttons all over the internet, and SpikeDislike3 will light up the world!!!!

Ugh, bloody Android..

Right, so I've spent all morning wrangling with a slight memory issue.
Chief Tester Arron Shutt tried out the game on a bunch of Android devices, but his 2012 Nexus 7 crashed upon loading.
Seems the high-res coupled with the low memory, caused it to attempt to load massive spritesheets, but failed miserably!!

So, what to do..?
Well, I've stripped away all the "hd/hd2" file stuff, and switched off image filtering.

IIRC, some Android devices point blank ignore that setting, so will end up looking blurry and horrible.
I'm getting Arron to re-test on all his devices, to let me know what happens on them.

*ugh*

Yeah. Android doesn't force you to upgrade your OS and hardware like iOS does.

I had been wondering after earlier posts if the loading issue could be avoided if you retargeted your Android builds for newer Android versions and left some folks behind...but I would be one of those left behind, so I didn't want to give you any ideas!

God, the waiting's driving me nuts!!!!

Tonight, I spent the night lying in bed, listening to 80s TV themes stupidly loudly with my headphones. (Which, btw, the wire's starting to "glitch", so I need some new ones..)

Can't be arsed starting any new projects.. Can't release SD3 elsewhere.. It's all just a case of sitting, waiting, and waiting!!! Gah!!!!

Hopefully it won't be much longer.
There were 3 nights between IM2s upload and SD3s, so with any luck it won't be much more between the releases.
