Socoder -> On Topic -> Wanted: backup software tool...

Can anyone recommend some windows software that can -

* backup a folder (and sub folders) to an external drive
* compare backed up files, with any new files being transferred in either direction, depending on which file is newer
* has no limitations to the number of files or size of backup
* copies the files directly, not compressing or encrypting or otherwise turning them into some unusable 'lump of file'

sort of like an offline only dropbox

Dizi (Helen) wants to keep an up to date copy of her work on an external drive, however it is quite a few gb, so online solutions are out of the question.

Thanks.

Windows, look for SyncToy. Made by MS, free, and does exactly what you want.

Mac, um.. Backup list+ seems to do the job ok.
