Frustrated at Xmas Oh, for the love of god.... Cable's out, so internet's off. Best option, use the iPad's new SIM card to connect to the net. Fantastic. Except its getting no signal, and so has no Internet. Fucking Fantastic.. £10 a month, wasted. What a pile of bullshit. (Cable is now back on, I spent an hour with only this shitty useless O2 SIM card, FFS..) GAH!! Meanwhile, the hospital rang to give me an appointment to see a clinic doctor on New Years fucking Eve.. For fucks sake, what the fucking fuck!? I have to travel from Little Lever up to fucking Salford Royal on NEW YEARS FUCKING EVE!? Jesus fucking fuck.. Cable might be back on, but it's being very intermittent. I must admit, it's never been this bad, before. We've had cable since 1995 (28th February!) and I've never seen it do this before. Might need to ring them up if it doesn't settle down.

This rant is tame compared with the rants I have on facebook.  I would also be very cheesed off if I had a hospital appointment on New Year's Eve, I thought it was bad enough when I had to go for a scan on my 21st birthday but them telling you to go on NYE is really taking the piss. |

I've worked New Year's Eve on a night shift for the last 20 years, with one exception. Last year I requested it off - not much to ask, seeing as it's almost impossible to cover that shift and I've helped them out for 1/5 of a century and half of my life - yes, even nn 1999-2000. My manager decided to put me down to work on the LATE shift (13:45-21:15) on New Year's Eve and then the EARLY shift (07:15-14:45) on New Years Day. Oh, how I fecking laughed. What a cunt. New Manager this year - I've told her to fuck off if she thinks I'm doing that crap ever again. |
