@JL235 You can have layered filters ive done it. Ive seen side by side the similarities and i just feel that because Gimp is a great alternative and has been a great help in making allmost all of my games. It is a tad disorganized ill give you that but the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

Yikes i disnt think anyone was even going to reply better yet get 2 pages going.

No idea what Noel's talking about.
It's not like anyone's going to destroy your livelihood if you have a serial that checks out with Adobe.

Noel's point is that it is odd that people are selling brand new copies of Photoshop, at a loss.

For one of two, no it's not, but for a regular stream of Photocopy copies, yes it is!

@JL235: Not at a loss. Some sell a copy of the orginal while keeping the original. When I got version 5.5 the man sold me his original disks.
He could have made a copy for himself though and that might be considered piracy.

I he made a copy, then yes, that is piracy, and proves Noel's point.

I actually think that is worse then downloading a copy of Photoshop for free, since the guy is making money out of breaking the law.

You got a point there but the man I bought PS 5.5 and PS 7.0 from was a designer.
I myself do graphic design but unlike the man I bought the software from I do not think it is always necessary to move to the latest and greatest version when making graphics with software.
The man I bought PS from definitely moved to the newer version and my view of people who do that is that they 'THINK' that they are getting more features that 'WILL' improve their skills. In that instance, a person selling his or her older original disks of any software should not be considered a pirate even if they sell the original disks and keep a copy for themselves.
In the instance where someone does keep a copy but sells the original, they effectively have transferred the license for that software and legally no longer own that software.
It still may be pirating in some courts.

That's not the buyer's fault, though!

Yeah, the packaging looks legit, however every part of that is easy to pirate. No holographic sticker, no fat RFID sticker, and I have seen more elaborate packaging on goods that I knew were pirate.

So the pictures don't really prove anything.
