Socoder -> Off Topic -> Big rant. Snobby drivers!

It all started when I was driving to an ASDA fuel station, I turned right at the roundabout and perform the usual procedure. I notice a woman in some sort of Japanese car shrug her shoulders and put her hands up as she is giving way to me, just as she should have been anyway. I just drive on, thinking to myself "WTF is her problem", pull into the fuel station and procede to dispense fuel.

As I'm about to put my debit card into the pump, the same woman decides to shout crap at me across the forecourt. "You're supposed to give right at a roundabout, you need to read the Highway-Code you idiot!", wrong f*****g thing to call me, I knew I hadn't done anything wrong!.

Of course, you can imagine what happens next. I shout-out "I f******g did stop and give-way, you're the f*****g idiot, go and read the Highway Code yourself!". She then said "you wanna repeat that to my husband", who was following her in a camper-van, "f*****g yeah!, get him over here", I said!.

At that point, someone from the payment kiosk called her over through the tannoy. I don't know what they said to her, but I'm guessing she told them that I started the argument, which I f*****g-well did not!.

After finishing at the fuel pump, I aproached her to have a word in her earhole. I pointed out why I wasn't going to stand-down after what crap she was hurling my way. She then said that I was honking my horn at her on the roundabout, and her husband said he saw me do it and that I was behind her and in front of him. BULSHIT!... How the fuck can I have been in front of him and behind her, when she stopped and gave way to me at the roundabout where I had just entered from a different road to what they was on. I don't even remember seeing the husband at the roundabout, and I certainly did not honk my horn!

After I said that it wasn't me that honked at her, the look on her face was priceless. The husband didn't sound very convinced though. There could have been another car similar to mine between them, and maybe they just thought it was my car, but I suppose I will never find out!.

It just goes to show how unobservant some snobby battle-axes can be. I was observant enough to recognise her from the roundabout, although there were plenty of cars the same shape and colour as hers. I suppose that's what happens when you are the only one sitting in a dark-blue Astra estate, one of the most common cars around!. Now I know how black people must feel, when they are victimised because of their colour and being in the wrong place at the wrond time, just as I was vitimised because of the colour of my car!.

This is why I always ignore people if they heckle me on the street. There is no way to win.

Trust-me Joe, I definitely won this one, and I had the last word! . No way was I going to back-down from that one!

|edit| Thing is, I wouldn't have minded if I had done something wrong. I would have just put my hands up and said "OK sorry, I'm a wanker!", but she was in the wrong and she bloody well knows it too! |edit|

Well, being male, that probably explains why I'm such a calm and considerate driver!. But on a more serious note, male or female doesn't doesn't justify driving like a complete douchebag!
