Socoder -> Off Topic -> Win 98 16 Colours 640 x 480 only

Hello,

I'm trying to run old games on Windows 98, but I can only get a 640 x 480 16 colour display in Windows 98. I have a Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, my chip type is "Brookdale-G Graphics Chip Accelerated VGA BIOS", and I have a Hanns-G HX191D monitor.

If anyone can give me a link to a driver that will give me more colours and a bigger resolution in my windows 98 setup then I would be very grateful - if you need any more info let me know, thanks!

"Standard VGA" is only 640x480x4. Windows will use this if there is no driver installed.

I think your chip is the Intel 82845G or similar, did you try the Intel website? They have drivers for all their integrated graphics cards there.
