Socoder -> Off Topic -> Ripping C64 fonts?

Hi,

I'm wanting to rip the font from the C64 game, the Untouchables, for my own game;

Screenshot:

What is the best way to either find out what this font was/is, or download it?

Thanks.

I'd go for a bit of DIY, in a case like this.
Open up your paint package, grab a few screens, and copy+paste each and every letter until you've a full alphabet.
If you can't get any characters, make 'em up.
Once done, use a simple bitmap font function, and you're sorted.

I always found the best tool for ripping gfx from C64 games, is c64ripper from studio x. It lets you rip sprites and tiles (fonts/gfx etc.) from C64 emulator save states. There is even a handy tutorial on that page. You should be able to see the font somewhere in c64 ram, just have a poke about a bit.

First use the tool that spinal suggested then if that does not work, google 'free fonts'.

I use fonts for my graphics and I know that there is one. I've seen it and may have it in my 6000+ font collection.

You'll find it. If I come across it then I'll post it

I was able to rip the fonts, there is A-Z which is very clear, but the 0-9 wasn't very clear and there isn't any commas, $ signs, or other punctuation.

I may end up paying for it to be re-done, as I've already decided to pay for a pixel artist for some avatars I need doing.

Thanks.
