Socoder -> Off Topic -> Firefox 3, The Squishyness!

If you're using Firefox 3, you'll notice Socoder's got a case of the squishies!

The left sidebar has a specific width, as does the right one.
The middle, Main, section doesn't. Instead it has the standard CSS "Width:Auto" thing..
Now, for some reason, Firefox 3 seems to be resizing to the width of the text, as opposed to the width of the window.
This means, rather than the middle being "as wide as possible" it's "as thin as possible" instead.
Which is a bit dumb!

So, it's not a bug, it's just an issue!

The issue has been explained to the Firefox team, whether they'll do anything I dunno! In fact, maybe Width:Auto is actually SUPPOSED to do that, who knows!
We'll wait and see.
If it doesn't get fixed by them, I'll have a fiddle myself, and see what can be done.

Lots can be done. Isn't Firefox OpenSource?

That would be sweet. Some one could make a foxcoder client that would load a specific skin that jay could make to complement the site and client. So who would do it....

Actually, I could, if people'd be willing to donate some money through my site (which has a donate button). My dad is breathing down my neck to move out.

Every single website that uses Width:Auto will have the exact same issue.
If it IS a FireFox 3 thing, let them sort it out.
If it's a major CSS change, it's up to us site peeps to fix it.

Give it time, wait it out..

|edit| And if you need the cash, you should have $5000 dollars lying around somewhere.. It's probably under your pillow, or something.. |edit|
