American Idiot is the best album ever released by Green Day, its pure brillent. Its problibly one of my favriote albums ever, containing such songs as, Letterbomb, Whatsername, Homecoming, The Jesus of Suburbia, and of course american idiot. It isnt just a bunch of songs bundeled together like most albums, it is an opera, and if you listen to the story, and the meaning behind some of the songs, its truely amazing. I give it 3 thumbs up, if you dont have it get it, if you dont want to get it then you can go get a Spice Girls or Brittney Spears album and enjoy the stupidity of pop.

I've personally found green day has become an annoyance. Their old stuff was good... it *was* good until it got played 1000 x 10^1000 times... Additionally, have you seen what they look like now? I mean come on, if he grew out his hair he'd be getting hit on by strait and gay men.

I like(d) Greenday, because they play very well, however, they have been a bit over-hyped, and the radio won't shut up about September ending. They don't have much variety with the stuff they play, either. Yeah, they play well, but it's all the same. It's very rarely that I'll bother listening the wholeway through a Greenday album - but, sometimes it just hits the spot, and I'll really enjoy it.

I'm always amused, though, at the Greenday addicts who seem to think that it's real, amazing anti-establishment rebel music. I think Rage Against The Machine is a much better choice, but listening to this sorta music doesn't automatically make you a revolutionary either.

But, yeah, to sum up my little ramble, I like em, they play well, but I'm not a magicman-standard diehard ;-p

yes they are over-hyped these days, i must rather listen to Linkin Park or Avenged Sevenfold

speak of the devil, i just changed the channel to fuse(a real music channel unlike MTV) and they are playing Avenged Sevenfold's Seize Day

i hae always wanted check out Rage Agaisnt the Machine, i am open to almost anything. just not that lame pop crap like Britteny Spears, Hilary Duff(i hate her), etc.

ah yes, Rage Against the Machince, got to love them, system of a down is pretty good anti-establishment music to, for that matter Anti-Flag is great, just the name is good. While though Green Day isnt the most rebelious band in the world, you have to admit they are political. my self i dont really like avenged sevenfold, they are good, but i dont like them for some reason.

I really like American Idiot. I think it's a great album. My favourite track is 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams', though I think 'American Idiot' itself is also very good.

It's funny to think that the album is a parody of The Wall, by Pink Floyd. Now THERE is a BRILLIANT album. Not to mention Dark Side Of The Moon.
