right now, I'm using the Aurora compiler.

the content I code varies. But usually I like to code applications and a few demos now and then.

Aurora compiler? Honestly, I have never heard of them.
I got Blitz 3D and BlitzMax(it abit poor document but could be improve) and COBRA(it does have Shaders ) is good language as it depend what you like to do.
