Slightly creepy. Granted, I just watched two horror movies, so pretty much anything will creep me out at this point.

I like it. It's a shame I'm worthless at this kind of stuff.

This was done in mudbox.

Looks awesome.

One minor critique is that you made the teeth and then smooth them down or blurred them (or something to that effect). I think this was a bad decision as it makes them look more like they mold into the rest of the skull, like it smoothly moves from bone to enamel. Where as teeth are actually seperate objects that aren't organicly molded into their surrounding bone.

^ Before and after smoothing the teeth, I think the teeth on the one on the left looks better!

Very impressive tho.

Yes, great!
What was the music?

Music is 14 Ghosts II by Nine Inch Nails (album is Ghosts I-IV, one of their odd experimental ones).

Also, in reference to what DD was mentioning, I smoothed the teeth over because they would've turned out rather lumpy and unusable when subdivided. I decided to put them off 'til I had another subdivision level on there:

Still not a lot of definition, but the idea was for the face to be very flat in a way.

COOL, a ball with a face on it. A real one would come in handy whenever you feel like kicking someone in the face !

I've just been over to Autodesk's website to habe a look at Mudbox. £700 GBP ?... Bit steep for a hobbyist coder isn't it !

Feckin' stupid Student Freebies.
They should have "Too old to be doing this" freebies, for us oldies.

Now all I need is a real ball with the face of Gary Glitter on it. That would be very therapeutic for getting over the initial anger due to the price of Mudbox !

Yeah, I'm afraid anyone outside the US generally gets shafted on software prices (usually at double the cost of the USD price - we pay $745 USD, which is about £500 GBP).
