Doctor Who

When you can't come up with a decent Space Invaders game for the workshop, and really can't be bothered doing much else, your mind tends to wander..

Dunno what to do with that, but it's nice!!

Awesome Tardis.

Is that a static background or is it animated?

The background whooshes about exactly the way it should do.
I sent Spinal a taster last night, with a blue cube, and spent most of today getting the camera a little whooshier, making the tardis, and have since further tweaked the tunnel to be less generically cylindrical.

Still not happy about the "POLICE BOX" sign, though.. Sticks out a mile!
So, extra tardis tweaking will be done!

And then I gotta figure out WTF I'm doing with it!

I've considered a "Loads your pictures, flings them at you like the opening credits" style screensaver.

Aaah, Much better!
Textures nicked from here

And, if you're wondering, the Tardis is just built out of a bunch of cubes in code! Nothing too special.. It is a box, after all!

^ Is the most likely result, since I can't imagine anything else worth doing with it!

Now with added swooshy photos.

Photos can be listed in imagelist.txt, or alternatively it'll grab them from Picasa's screensaver list.

"C:\Documents And Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db2\saverlist.txt"
Handy!

Unfortunately, there's a slight stutter when it loads/resizes a photo, but it's nothing too major..
.. hopefully!

Why not give it a try! Dr Who Screensaver
