Wednesday Workshop #125 : The 3 Hour Challenge 2
Time until Deadline

Week : 14 November 2007
The Reason : I've been thinking about the last 3 hour challenge a lot, this week!

The Challenge : Set aside 3 hours. Either one 3 hour session, three 1 hour ones, four 45 minute ones, or however you'd prefer it.
Within the space of those 3 hours, create the best game that you can.

Extra Info
Keep your eye on the time, and don't cheat
As always, you can use pre-made gfx and sounds if you need.

Weekly Rules/How to Enter
You have until Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning 00:00 BST to submit your levels. ^ See Deadline Link! ^

Wed.Workshop is at SoCoder.co.nr. If you can read this, you're probably already there!

Stick your entry underneath this post, leaving a link to your zip or the source of your game, or whatever. (I really should get round to that Upload thing, shouldn't I!)

If you can't figure it out, or have a really rubbish server, send it to Jayenkai@Gmail.com and I'll stick it straight onto the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site.

Entries will be collected during the week, and then entered into the next week's voting. (If there are any entries..)

Please try to keep all entries within small file sizes. 2Mb is the average maximum for files.
Additional Rules are available at the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site, under the list of previous workshops.

Muahahaha prepare to be BORED!

The positive thing is that all the images are rendered with code

The bad thing is that that is the only good thing :/

I'm done - only, it's for Linux! (Is that a first?)

Anyone running Ubuntu/Debian can get all the libraries needed by installing Gambas through Applications>Add/Remove or searching "Gambas" in the Synaptic Package Manager.

Gambas is like Visual Basic, but for Linux (and therefore free! )

Then either download my Gambas project source or download the compiled program

To run the compiled program, open up a terminal, drag and drop the downloaded file into the terminal window, and hit enter.

I might do a Windows port with Visual Basic that school lent me for my computing course, but I won't have kept to 3 hours if I do that

(My apologies that it's basically Pong with slightly different controls, but my 3 hours includes learning how to use Gambas too )
