Art for a painting

25th August 2009

Obviously you should make her paint a screengrab from Pong Out!
Either that, or she could do something more interesting like a nude... <insert famous actress or singer here, to avoid "WHO'S HOTTEST??!" debate>

QOTD : Compression

20th August 2009

Need I mention that it would be able to hold lots more than 256 possible combinations?
1 byte equals 8 bits.
Which means "The way my head feels after a really big bar of chocolate, makes me want to lie down a lot." could become 01, and "The way my leg fe*snip*
You couldn't possibly have a game that is only 1 byte large, because there would only be 256 possible combinations of data it could hold, which would never be enough for a game.
No, it wouldn't be enough for a game.
But would it be enough *snip*

How small do you think it is possible to make a game?
Will it ever be possible to release a game with an executable that is 1 byte in size?

Facebook API -to- Blitz

17th August 2009

The easiest way would probably involve just sending (obscure) HTTP calls to the Facebook servers.
Note that it's probably more or less impossible to achieve in Blitz 3D, but it might be possible in BlitzMax.
Facebook doesn't (seem) to use SSL for login,*snip*

Tile+ball puzzle....

16th August 2009

You could mix Sensitive and WoW!
In a way...
Like, you have a magically enchanted forrest where players go around killing mobs (the enemies you wanted to add to the game!) and then they can eventually group together to form parties that go into instances*snip*

QOTD : Gameplay vs Working!

15th August 2009
