When I started High school we still had loads of Acorn BBCs there and then loads of Archimedes by the time I left, the rest of the computers there were Amstrad PCWs. Not bad for what the education board said was a school for underachievers. :p

We had older tech then. I did see people secretly installing games on the pc's. Leisure suite larry 1.
They would not believe there were computers then that had more than 1000 colors. The Amiga Ham mode. No Internet to look up specs.

Over on the CBeebies channel for little kiddy tykes before they're old enough for CBBC proper, they have NumberBlocks and AlphaBlocks shows that teach numbers, letters, words and maths to the kiddywinks.

Ours didn't have a CD tray, you had to load the disc into a boxy thing and slot it into the drive, probably scratched the hell out of the discs.
