Monkey thoughts...?
That pretty much defeats the point of Monkey. You might as well just write it in C++ anyway.
No. There's a difference between modifying existing code and rolling your own.
Being able to at least modify the output is always an advantage.
GLFW needs a lot more features for screen resolutions to make it a proper target.
No, it doesn't. The features are there, you can utilize them by modifying the C++ output.

The remark was actually meant as a half-sarcastic, half-truthful joke.
But now that you've so openly invited me to a political debate, I can't say no!
Recently I've been looking at the principal differences between socialism and communism.

Monkey thoughts...?

20th November 2011

I'd actually like to use something like Monkey. In fact, Monkey is ingenious because it is so portable.
However, a port of TSO Restoration (now re-dubbed "Project Dollhouse") to MonoXNA is already in the works, so I'm probably going to stick with that.

I'd post more here, but it turns out there are very few people able to answer my questions, so I've kinda been defaulting to Gamedev.net

I like NPA too, but as I've pointed out before it would be better if you added a network patch.
Anyway, between programming and school, I don't have a lot of time for playing games right now. :(

Projection matrixes, and stuff...

Unfortunately, no.
It's only important for rendering body meshes, and even with the function the body meshes are still deformed. :(

Progress - heads can now be loaded and displayed fully textured. :)
Turns out I was using the ThumbnailID to load the textures, giving me the thumbnail as opposed to the actual texture.

In a desperate attempt to understand what I'm doing, can someone please explain wtf this function does (aside from renormalizing the target's normal)?

Getting there!
I think the remaining bits are a combination of XNA not liking *.jpg textures and me not having any clue what to do with the blenddata in the meshes.

I actually think that is worse then downloading a copy of Photoshop for free, since the guy is making money out of breaking the law.
That's not the buyer's fault, though!
