Umbongo! That's a very nice version!

Mine - It definitely starts better than it finishes. There's a bit of french mumbling that came from nowhere.

The longer you extend, the more corrupt things tend to get. Especially the voices.. They frequently end up mushy after about 2 minutes. Suno could probably do with adding that as a disclaimer somewhere.

I used Jammble for mine, very impressed with the fact that you can upload a song and have someone else sing it (sort of).

I've been using it for daily blogs.
It's not very good at replicating chiptune/synths, but it tries its best!

I've noticed Suno stuff all sounds the same, as if they only have one melody template or something.

Yeah, there definitely ends up being a bit of sameyness to it after a while, but if you feed it something unusual, you tend to get odd results.
One fun prompt-style I've been adding lately is "last track on the album" or "unearthed track on a mixtape" or something like that. Those kinds of things tend to let it go in a less "sensible" route, and take certain paths that it normally wouldn't.

(Unless, of course, it's trained on those, too, and then they get just as samey after a while..!?!)

I'm not smart enough to comprehend the fact that the converter doesn't even know what language is, or what words are. It just knows that sound A should represent sound B... magical.

Suno's now added the ability to split tracks into Vocals and Instrumentals. It's not great, though. It A.I. splits the stems from the mushy audio, leading to even mushier audio. It's a shame it can't re-generate the vocals cleanly.
Ho-hum...

Tried to extend the intro of that song from Bill & Ted in the future... Didn't realise it wanted lyrics and not a prompt...

v4

v4 of Suno has been unveiled for those on Pro/Premium/Subscribed

I wondered how best to illustrate this, so got it to cover the Um Bongo song in a series of different styles.

A lot of the covers ended up sounding damn-near identical to the old one. The Cover feature does that a lot, and it's a shame it still uses up all your bloody credits doing it.
Grr..

Here's my picks of the "better" ones.

1. Acoustic, Singer/Songwriter
: Download | Suno Link
Nice crisp vocalist, here.
That seems to have been the main focus on the v4 improvements.

2. Clear vocals, synthpop
: Download | Suno Link
No synths here!

3. Clear vocals, synthpop
: Download | Suno Link
A slower paced drink

4. Electroswing, J-Pop
: Download | Suno Link
This one, quite frankly, goes batshit insane!

5. Electroswing, J-Pop
: Download | Suno Link
This one doesn't go insane!

6. 90s Irish Boy Band
: Download | Suno Link
Somewhat reliant on a horrible cheap poundshop trumpet!

7. 70s chart topping hit
: Download | Suno Link
...Their eyes met over a glass of Um Bongo...

8. 1990s Charity Single
: Download | Suno Link
... Not what I was expecting.
