Any way to disable the active user list? Besides being completely unnecessary, it is annoying.

I blocked it on my end and it is staying blocked.

Apple's ski goggles have a battery pack to strap to the waist. So you do have some wiggle room when it comes to acceptable battery size nowadays.
Back around '84 I had a watch that was a B&W TV screen. Tiny little thing and it had a long c*snip*

Only worry is the 8gb of ram being enough. But when there is a pending class action suit over the screens, I am too afraid to touch it.
If I can figure out how to boot the Zenbook 3 from a flash drive and disable secure boot, I may try putting PoP_OS on *snip*

If you aim for the M2, be sure to upgrade to the 512Gb drive, as the 256Gb is much slower due to the .. something, something..
The M1's fine at 256Gb, though, so .. that is still a really nice bit of kit, at a fairly decent price point.

tried a different test now, see if that changes anything.
[edit]
OK, switching of all power saving attempts and sending the battery reading every minute until it dies.
Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to track battery percentage.

Yeah, that is bad. Apple is kinda on my shit list right now. Yesterday, I almost clicked buy on a M1 Air that was on sale at Amazon for $749. I was going to buy it, even though it has less memory than I would like. BUT, I decided to do a tiny bit of re*snip*

Maybe have it do bursts..?
Sleep for 3/4 a second, then be active for 1/4 a second, that kind of thing.

OK, the problem boils down to sleeping 'too long' I need to find a balance between power usage and not crashing :-P
