6 months to Christmas. Thought you all should know. Time to start looking for crap Advent calendars...

I was enjoying the sunshine outside a Public House with a beer...But there's always some muppet banging on about Christmas, lol

Had a hunt, but the Lego Calendars haven't turned up yet.
IIRC it was about August, last year.

... Is it wrong that I'm excited about that?!

If you're a 5 year old, Christmas is awesome...For everybody else it's a cold and miserable time.

I was really disappointed last year not (initially) finding a crap Advent calendar. And then I had Joy-Joy feelings when I finally wangled one, which then took forever to arrive. So, no Jay, the whole Advent thing on this site (and Ashens) is awesome and I too look forward to it.

It's something different for just one month and incredibly good fun taking the piss out of something that should have been put out its misery long before hitting retail!

I must admit, it'll be a shame not to see Kuron.
.. I should email him, see if he's ok..

Yeah, I often wonder if he's OK, but he made his feelings kinda known that he was dropping out. Shame

Will have to hope he's feeling better now, wherever he is. Get well soon Kuron! Might make some advent calendar this year even!

Over in here in Oz, there is a Christmas in July (as well the normal Christmas) - as quite a few English (including me) still think that Christmas should be on a cold day and not in the middle of 40 degrees Summer day

3 days since I emailed Kuron, with no reply.
That's not a good sign.. :/

Kuron finally got back to me, the lazy bugger
He's doing ok, but is about to head in for heart surgery, this very morning.
Nothing "major", but then it's heart surgery, so.. !!

Hopefully all goes well for him.
Good luck, Kuron!!

Ok.. Did my calendar order on Amazon.. Ffs, this is costing me a fortune!!

1. Yankee Candle Carousel for mum.
2. Lego City for me. I nearly wasn't going to buy a Lego one this year, as I have an alarmingly cluttered shelf full of silly Lego calendar bits and pieces. But in the end, I felt a civic duty to post daily tat to the forum!
3. As I browsed through the hundreds of different Advent calendars on Amazon, one particular one caught my eye.. I bought it, and will be posting about it come Advent time. *sigh*

£68
68 bloody quid..
Ffs!!!

Please don't let it be the crap one that I want to get...

I suppose I'll have to look out for mine soon too then - don't want it to be late again (although I did order in time last year - snail mail FTW!)

Will be grabbing the standard crappy chocolate ones over here, more things for the kiddums this year instead

Amazon! ...

And the Yankee Carousel's here, too.

Although, I have to wait for the other one, since it's not coming direct from Amazon. *tsk*

You'll be sick of the smell of that one long before Christmas!

That is beyond a joke. Haven;t they got anything better to do? I can understand getting things ready from November, but Christ it was still technically Summer up until 3 days ago.

:/

Hmm.

Ce calendrier de l'avent ne semble pas comprendre du tout l'anglais.
