I'm currently using Monkey, which is the modern recreation of Blitz, and allows you to quickly and easily port your code to many different targets, most importantly desktop, HTML5, Android and iOS. Which is nice, and allows me to quickly rummage together AGameAWeek, then port it to multiple platforms with ease.

GLBasic still with me. I want to give monkey a go, but time is really tight at the moment. Well, it has been for the last 18months tbh

I dunno, you seem to be doing fairly well with GLBasic, and are already porting to lots of devices. IMO you might as well stick with it, and build on what you've got, rather than having to relearn everything from scratch again. *shrugs*

WHen I program I use Basic.
I have the B2d, B3d and Purebasic compilers.

I also still have the Free version of Darkbasic that was given away online.

The last compiler I used was Purebasic for making a list of information that I was getting off the internet. I then converted the program to BB.

I've coded with GLBasic longer than any other language historically (and I've used loads), but from what I've seen, once you've tamed the beast that is monkey, it seems pretty powerful - perhaps more so than GLBasic. I'm always up for a new challenge and to learn new things. If it weren't for the lack of monkey handheld compilation (GP2X, Wiz, Caanoo and Pandora) I'd have given it a more serious play long ago.

I've started using Monkey as well. (Free version) Haven't bought it yet though, but plan on it when I have some close enough to release.

C# and XNA/Monogame for Project Dollhouse.
But I've also familiarized myself with Lua and C++. I really like C# because it's a wonderful compromise between flexibility, power and productivity.
Especially with .NET 4.5 which has introduced new concurrent containers to speed up development of applications that need to serve thousands of users concurrently without downtime.

I hear it's got its ups and downs. There's lots of PEEKING and POKING too once you get down to it. The syntax and the logic can be strange at times. Best not to rush into it, but take your time until you've got a good understanding and rhythm.
