steve_ancell	My friend Ian showed me this thing close-up, at a club meeting earlier this evening. It is proof that anything can fly. Its a Radio Controlled electric plane, disguised as a Christmas Tree. The base stand contains a 2'1/2 inch Ducted Fan Unit. The Li-Po battery, receiver and servos, are disguised whith wrapping paper to make them look like gift boxes. It has no undercarrage, so it has to be hand-launched, and an assistant catches it on landing. Although Ian is a pukka flyer, and can catch it one-handed. LINKAGE: wonderdog.org.uk/xmas/

steve_ancell	I will have a go at making a R/C Enterprise at some point, when I feel up to the job. Apparently its already been done by somebody else, so at least I know that it is possible. Jayenkai That looks great! Yeah, that man seriously amazes me lots of times. I will pass on your compliments to Ian when I see him next .

power mousey	really? seriously? huh!, I gotta see that. got a video or clip of that, Steve?? Perhaps build a flying and floating Deep Space Nine then? you know, the Space Station or even perhaps the Voyager ship from STar Trek Voyager.

steve_ancell	Unfortunately, I haven't actually got a clip of a flying Enterprize. It was a member of the club that actually told me that its been done before. I still want to build one though .

power mousey	okay then. but one of these days when I'm hang gliding and think that what I see is a small UFO-shaped Enterprise, I'll know that its just you Captaining the Starship Enterprise. and I do want and like to learn how to hang glide.
