Viktor's Amazing 4-bit Processor

Complete with diagrams, and how-to's for those Hydra/Tech guys amongst us..
A complete 4-bit processor, hand built with big-ass chunky chips, LEDs and clicky buttons!
Lovely stuff!

The page also shows 2 complete 4-bit assembly programs, useful if you want to melt your brain for a few minutes.

I once built almost a whole byte of ram. It was for my A-level electronics course work and was part of an electronic counter.

While in college and for my Industrial and Manufacturing
course...I built a light sensor mechanism and app utilizing
a 74181 ALU.
Of course, I really enjoyed working with sheet metal and
also making a mold figurine of Abraham Lincoln and pouring the pig iron in for the cast.
And working with wood on the lathe too.

new edit: oh yeah, I'll take a look at the assembly
program. should bring back memories of programming in
it using a Heathkit trainer at school too.

@ Mousey...
Heathkit... Was'nt that a name of a company that used to make project kits for Tandy/RadioShack and Maplin during the eighties ?.

|edit| Also, if I'm not mistaken. Heathkit also used to make oscilloscopes. |edit|

yeah me too.
although I used to like Garfield better.

And how it relates to the topic at hand
mind you?? When I was in college and taking
my courses...especially computer and electronic
courses, I used to read and do some of my studies
while watching the likes of Heathcliff, Garfield
and even the TMNT-->Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
