It's not THAT confusing, just a weird clause.

Yeah, those instructions are definately a bit... iffy. They must have not had enough packaging space left for a proper set of instructions.

1) Remove outer packaging.
2) Place pies on a baking tray.
3) ???
4) Serve immediately.

Profit.

"Mom, these pies are raw!" "That's what it says to do on the package..."

But it's incredibly important that the foil not be removed. Oh God, the horrors that would be unleashed if you removed the foil.

I have to admit that there's Evil Roy Fail here, too, though -- I thought the fail was related to the instructions' apparent obsession with foil until I read the comments.

LOL....I am a cook for Bob Evans and that is a really poorly written cooking instructions. Tho honestly for someone with even a little cooking experience would know better tho! You would almost have to be a complete retard to mess it up tho.

I kind of understand why they did it. It sounds really repetitive though.

They say "Remove outer packaging", and want to clarify that it doesn't include the foil.

Then they say "Place pies on baking tray". If they didn't say "Place pies (still in foil cases) on baking tray" then some people may assume they are suppose to remove the pies from the trays (because after all, it only says to put the pies on the baking tray and not the foil cases).

-- or --

Their customer support department is mad about all the call they receive from customers who didn't use the foil cases.
