Crystal Clarity of dots The purpose of this blog is to clarify and make known of my use of dots. I'm sure if you have read or even skimmed some of my posts and other blogs that I use a series of dots. Sometimes a series of dots is use in place of a comma. I'll still use commas at times. But even as my English teacher in junior high told me: "you have a common ailment and writing disease of comma itis. You use too many commas and 'run on' sentences too." So I try to reduce the use of many commas and also of the use of run-on sentences by uisng a series of dots. Another use of a series of dots is to indicate a little more information or even a short quick example or note. Examples: whatcha gonna do!??...as Hulk Hogan used to say in the ring.  Patrick Warburton is a famous television actor and voice artist and does the voice of Ben in the B cartoon movie. He also played one of Elaines boyfriends....David Puddy..in Seinfeld. another eason why I use a series of dots is cause of telling a joke or riddle and then use these dots to deliver a short,quick punchline to the joke or a quick,short answer to the riddle in question. Another reason why I use a series of dots is to get a short quick point across. Helps to cut down on verbatims and showing examples down the verbial rabbit holes. Speaking of which and another example too  Charles Dodgson was so fascinated and inspired by Georg Riemanns' advanced geometry and of worm holes....the long rabbit hole and talking door in Alice in Wonderland. One more reason why I sometimes use a series of dots. Ever since I read Kurt Vonneguts Breakfast of Champions and a few other works....I incorporated and modified some of his writing devices |

In my insane usage, multi-dots are there to clarify extended pauses that a comma wouldn't properly suggest. It's probably not right... but it works!

I've been told I use too many commas, so I try to keep an eye on things, trying to reduce them. I personally don't see the problem, but then my english has never been any good.
