Basic Site Rules

Understand or don't bother staying..

Use common sense.
Don't start rows.
Don't whinge if people don't quite get things right.
No Warez trading.
No MP3 sharing, unless allowed by common sense. (eg, if you created the music, share away!)

Off Topics
Conversations don't always stick to a single topic, and at no point will we force topics to stick to their exact definitions.
If a conversation drifts off, then that's perfectly fine.
If, however, you're intentionally found to be forcing topics off the beaten track, for advertising purposes or just to be a bit of a tit, then we'll stop you, and warn you about not doing that sort of thing!

Showcase Files
You're all coders, so you should all know how to work a Rar file. If a Rar file turns up, don't freak out, use Winrar. If you complain about a rar file, your complaint will be ignored and removed.
If a link/file/image is missing in a showcase, don't post a comment saying so.. It tends to scare off other users, especially when the post is still there 12 months down the line. Instead email the person, or even Jayenkai, to let them know it's down.

None-English
We don't mind you using foreign languages, so long as you provide a suitable translation along with your text, or something vaguely describing what it is you're talking about.

And lastly..
If you have a question, post it in the forum, not in the Articles section!!

WHY NO MP3 TRADING????? (and what is "common sense"?)

I mean, like, no copying copyright mp3s, and no shoving copyright mp3s into your games..
"Common sense" = if you made it yourself, or it's actually available on the net as a legally available track.

ie Common sense..

hey Nate,

common sense nowadays is a dying breed.
It seems. Serious.
Common sense in this sense means you use your own
common sense. Like, is the MP3 suitable for sharing
and can it be downloaded in a good amount of time. And also can you share and download the MP3 in the first place.
Is the MP3 VIRUS SCANNED,AND FREE OF SPAM,ADWARE, AND THE LIKE.

like for example, here is a midi song you can download and for free. its not too long either.

rock.mididb.com/whitezombie/

Highlight and right click the song you want and 'save as'
to your disk drive. free midi song files.
Enjoy.

Sometimes, I do whinge some when somebody
doesn't understand my post. So okay, I'll
say or post it in layman's terms more.
But there are posts where just take it as it is.
Use common sense. Please.

I do too, cola kid.

thats why its good to do at least
a viral scan for viruses, trojans, adware,
spyware and those sneaky and malicious hijackers
and dialawares too.
