 		Problem the 1st... CEX sold me a Raspberry Pi 1b+ and called it a 3b+. I thought it was running slow. Now I just have to try to prove it and get an exchange.

 		Having battled with this for a few days, it seems that text to speech on the pi is just plain useless. PArt of what I need to do it output the speech to a file (or file-like array) to be messed with later, but that just doesn't work at all. The engine I'm using will only output to a file if it is calles "output.wav" or something else along those lines, and it can not output a customer string.
For example, I have a string called 'test' so

test = "something to say"

when I output it to a file, it simply says the word 'test' and not the actual string.

grrrrrr.
