Wednesday Workshop #098 : The Heavy Metal Challenge
Time until Deadline

Week : 2 May 2007
The Reason : Suggested by Cyberseth

The Challenge : Create a game with the theme of Heavy Metal.

Extra Info
That could be Music, or physically heavy metal. Or anything else you can come up with.

Weekly Rules/How to Enter
You have until Tuesday Night/Wednesday Morning 00:00 BST to submit your levels. ^ See Deadline Link! ^

Wed.Workshop is at SoCoder.co.nr. If you can read this, you're probably already there!

Stick your entry underneath this post, leaving a link to your zip or the source of your game, or whatever. (I really should get round to that Upload thing, shouldn't I!)

If you can't figure it out, or have a really rubbish server, send it to Jayenkai@Gmail.com and I'll stick it straight onto the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site.

Entries will be collected during the week, and then entered into the next week's voting. (If there are any entries..)

Please try to keep all entries within small file sizes. 2Mb is the average maximum for files.
Additional Rules are available at the SoCoder (Official Wed.Workshop) site, under the list of previous workshops.

Last Week's Games
Last week...
DiablosDevil attempted two entries. His first was disqualified for being Deal or No Deal.
His second. The judge is still out on that. I refuse to believe that was a serious WW entry!
And, I honestly don't know what happened to B3DMan's quiz.

hmmmmmmm.....

I was thinking of doing a logo or banner
of skeleton hands banging down metal sticks
on drums
bloody and blistering fingers and hands plucking
3-chord guitar strings
maybe even a 3d Zombie model depicting Rob Zombie
from White Zombie re-animating. ahhhhhh!!!

eeeyeppp!!

Did you know that Munkys have serious problems with Heavy Metal?
Hmm

well...let me see this.

I'll download these Metallical Munkys.

new edition: Jay, that was really a weird, bone marrow
of metal munkys. It would be cool if you could link them up or even twist them around with the arrow keys.
Chains or links of metal munkys. ahhhhhhh!!, true.

Nice idea, mousey.

Nice game, Jay. Oh course, it ran slow for me , but it was still quite good. Unfortunately, after 25 solid minutes of waiting for all the metal to drop, it ended in a MAV!!! Does that happen to anyone else?

thank you, Shroom.

I found some music....actually a midi song
of Rob Zombies' More Human than Human.

I have synchronized the music to
another creature of the night rather than
Zombied Rob Zombie(Rob White).

It took me well over 7 hours to match sounds and
some of the animations. And as well as to get more or
less the intended mood and atmosphere of the scene.

No, it shouldn't happen to anyone else. I couldn't be bothered checking what happens when all 150 chunks of metal are used up, because, technically, the game should move so fast that it's impossible to get rid of all 150 chunks of metal!
That would require you to type over 2250 characters in under a minute and a half (the time it SHOULD take until the munky hits the ground)

Well, I did it.

|edit| I also got through the song at least twice... it's quite good. You should record it. |edit|

"Record it"?
*baffled*
In what way?

FYI : It's the theme tune from Lotus3 redone in a very plain piano/drum way! And it's already "Recorded" (!) It's an MP3.

What I meant was the lyrics. You could record it (sung) as a song!

I like to see him appear on American Idol.

And perform and talk with Randy,Simon and Paula.
Now... that would be something I would tune in on the
boobey tube to see and watch. yeahhhhhh!!

Jayenkai would prefer you listen to 1min:30 of silence than 1:30 of him trying to sing.
Jay has a terrible voice.

Looks like only munky's having a play with the metal. What a shame. All that metal gone to waste.

Oh well, never mind.

Next workshop arrives in 30 mins.

Oh well, I never got my cruddy game submitted. It was entitled, "Heavy Medal". Cruddy name, equally cruddy idea
