Linux on ChromeOS22nd October 2023 Not remotely a Linux Guru, but the ones I have got along best with are Mint (Cinnamon), Elementary OS, Zorin OS and Pop!_OS. Things pretty much just work. That said they are full Linux versions. Windows has tried to allow Linux apps to run, but it is no*snip* |

Linux on ChromeOS22nd October 2023 Nice, Linux MInt has been great for freetube, etc also, we had to set-up a printer for my mums laptop on it, except, by set-up it was literally just a case of plugging it in, drivers were just there within a moment! |

QOTD - October 202322nd October 2023 As there is no such thing as ghosts, I'd be spending a night in a house that just makes a few more noises that most houses. So I guess I'd bring the usual shower bag and maybe something to listen to, I tend not to sleep well in a different bed. |

Busted Washer21st October 2023 I think my next washer wil not need that dryer function included. I'm to much of a scrooge I guess to use it. I'm kind of worried at the amount of heat it produces too. The drying rack has been my go to solution. My mum wil replace her broken one *snip* |

Busted Washer21st October 2023 I'd normally try to keep a kitchen appliance alive for as long as I can. Repairs and fixes tend to work really well with them as, for the most part, they're still built with old fashioned tech and not tiny little chips that melt and fudge things u*snip* |

Busted Washer21st October 2023 That is nice, but to buy a new one you have to pay for it. Under my service plan, we do not pay for repairs and we are reimbursed for a rental. If they ever cannot fix it, we get the money we originally paid for it back and we can then order a new one *snip* |

Busted Washer21st October 2023 If my washer breaks. I wil just order a new one and get the old one taken away. New ones are delivered <24 hours. I am not waiting for a couple of weeks to get parts and repairs planned. The company went bust anyway so I am stuck on factory waranty. I *snip* |

Busted Washer21st October 2023 Waiting on the washer to be here any minute, they are short-staffed so can only deliver it and not install it. But as long as they can get it in the house, I can switch them out. |
