Apple Event - Sept 2024View on YouTube They're currently banging on about this A.I. "Cloud Compute" again, pretty much repeating WWDC information, so figured I'd drop a "thoughts so far" Thoughts. 1. $399 Watch is too expensive. 2. $549 Headphones are too expensive. 3. Even $179 AirPods are still too expensive. 4. This iPhone 16 is also going to be too expensive. Typically Apple. Typically expensive. Fuxake, Apple, you've made enough money. Make some cheaper products. Apple Intelligence coming to UK around about December. Currently, even when using the Beta versions of iOS/MacOS, you need to switch to US English to try it out, and... fuck that!! It's bad enough using a Beta, without Autocorrect constantly fixing the word "Colour" on me. $799 for iPhone 16, $899 for Plus. Holy hell. But at least they both start at 128Gb Next Pro : "the versions that we pretend are more functional for you." They're repeating everything they've already done for iPhone16 but with slightly increased numbers. "Like never before!" Pro : $999 Pro Max : $1199 Smeg off!!! And that's that. Apple getting even more pricey, not great. $799 = £611.01 :o For a "basic" model phone? they can piss off for that, too expensive for my tastes anyway. -=-=- Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also! |

Oh yeah, it will ignore the exchange rate because it always does, and I refuse to believe there's an extra £100+ in shipping and post sales gubbins over here. £600+ quid in anyway is wayy too much! -=-=- Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also! |

Checked, and yes.. £799 for the lowest entry. The cheapest iPhone is the SE at £429, and the cheapest iOS device is the iPad Classic, starting at £349. The entry level iPod Touch is long gone, and it's really really hard to recommend anything iOS related for .. specifically.. someone who's constantly emailing me about their shit experience with Android, when the price of entry is so fucking insane. I still think he should make the switch. Every other day it's an email about "Android this" and "Android that", and it's like "Gawd, you really need an iPhone." but .. I dunno, Apple.. Come on.. "My First iPhone" won't destroy the company. And you're fucking loaded, guys. You can afford it! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''
