Is there supposed to be a video or photo in this topic?, there seems to be a large gap just before the bit where you said "I feel sorry for these kids.". Onto the Wiki article; I stopped going to Clarendon Church, which is a new age evangelical, when I realised it was becomming more and more like a huge money-making business. When I first attened as a kid they used a local school as the venue and when we lost that venue they hired 2 rooms in Odeon cinema, when I was 16 I started to feel pressured into their ways so I gradually fazed it out. Going back a few years ago a row of shops was knocked down to pathe the way for a multi-million pound, modern church building that makes it look like a scientology cult. They even require you to set-up a Direct-Debit that allows them to take 10 percrent of your income, just like the church or scientology. I'm glad I got the fuck out when I did. |

I also have some gay friends so I wouldn't be welcomed there now anyway, when will they realise when people are gay they are born with the genetics that make them that way?. I'm not dropping friends just to fit in with a church's requirements.

This is why I pass on modern religion wholesale... I can see the point of some of it, like, people need to believe in something and hoping the reality we are is just a stepping stone. But ultimately, it's a form of control, be nice, follow whatever path and you'll be rewarded afterwards. Baring in mind there is literally no proof that you'll end up in front of some gates on white fluffy clouds, bask in the heat of hell for all eternity or get to bang X amount of virgins or whatever. But when religion turns to hate of other humans, because of whatever beliefs they have, well, IMO, that's were religion falls and ultimately, why I will never ever have any part of it in my life.
