The Crossroads....
The Crossroads

an old man is traveling on the road.
He doesn't know why and he doesn't remember
nor know this place.
He doesn't even remember who he is.
He tries to remember anything of who he is and
of his whole life. Nothing! No memories nor flash
of his life comes across.

He looks down at the road and its shaped like a cross.
Strange that anyone would build a road shaped like a cross.
Even more strange...he can't see beyond the main road. The two other roads are short and can't see beyond these either.

He decides to go down the main road.
As he is traveling he finds that he is back at his original position. Shocked and surprised, he tries a few more times.
Again, he comes back and finds himself at his original position. Puzzled??...he tries the other roads. The travel is even shorter but finds himself again at his original position. He even reverses his direction and tries the other road. Again and again, he finds himself at the original position where he was originally at.

"Where the hell am I!??", he shouts out in frustration
and fear. He then shudders and thinks is this hell? Or heaven?, or even some sort of cosmic purgatory or holding cell?

He then looks up and suddenly! notices....

the Crossroads have changed in some ways
but in other ways have remained the same.
He looks closer and notices that the roads
seem segmented and cube shaped. The whole
Crossroads each contain a cube. Each cube with
six sides. And 4 cubes for the main road.
And 3 cubes for the upper cross section for the other
2 short roads.
So he reasons and takes into account of 4*6 =24 sides.
And also the extra 3 cubes of 3*6=18. For a total of 42 sides. But why that extra cube in the center for the upper cross ection that connects the main road and the 2 other short roads??
Could there be a significance for this?
Why,why that extra cube for the center crux??

As he touches one of the cubes,
the cube glows and rotates.

Then the glowing cube opens up
and the six sides unravel to reveal more road and land.
Both awed and shocked he hesitantly touches one of the sides. All the sides glow and ravel back into a shape of the original cube.

 		He touches the cube again.
And sure enough, the cube rotates again.
And it unravels its six sides but revealing a different
road then previously and a different landscape.

The old man thinks to himself.
Is this some kind of portal or teleportation device??
If it is. Who built it and why?? Can I go into different lands and dimension. Most important of all...can I ever return!??

Should I make the jump?
Dare the walk?

What have I got to lose!??

 		He dares the walk and jumps thru.

He finds himself walking thru a long tunnel.
There is the proverbial light near the end.
He gets near the light and stops with both
anticipation and anxiety.

"Will this be the end of my journey or the beginning
of another?? Or both?? ", he wonders.
He also begins to wonder whats on the other side and what and where that light is coming from?
He also feels so cold and numb too.
He has been cold and kind of numb but his fear and curiosity has overtaken him with this whole Crossroad and now this tunnel and the light too.

As he approaches the light he feels warmer
and more familiar to this light.

He jumps into the light.

 		He has visions of all sorts
and hears thousands of voices.
Some laughing, others screaming,
some having pleasant conversations and others
debating and arguing.
The visions and voices fade as he sees and feels
strange sensations like protonic light photons
encasing and wrapping up onto himself.
He looks at some of himself..his arms,his legs, other parts. He is disturbed at first cause he isn't old anymore but young like he used to be but glowing with this light energy. Almost transparent like too.
He doesn't feel cold nor numb anymore.
But warm and alive and sensitive to his surroundings and to himself too.
