Today I was able to win 3 times. The first time the scores were tied 32-32 but I had reached 32 first so I thought I was declared winner. After that I was able to win with a big margins 52-12, 48-16.

I guess with a bit more focus on the player side, the AI is beatable.

Been working on Browsercade all day!!

When the AI was taking time I was not sure if it was my turn or AI's turn, then I saw the pulsing of the scores and was able to wait till the AI has completed its turn.

That pulsing's not good enough. It's the reason I currently haven't switched on the two player mode. It just isn't obvious enough.
Maybe if I get the background to change to the colour of the player?
I dunno...

Damnit.. I wasn't sure whether to go with dots or squares, so went with both.. the engine literally can't cope with more words than three words!!!

This week's Shoebox game is a nice little Conquest based thing.
Move around the board, claiming spaces for yourself, and trying to earn more squares than your enemy.
Rolling a six grants you the ability to reclaim spaces from your opponent!!

The AI's a bit shit, and doesn't look ahead enough to make his moves worth anything.
I really am crap at doing AI players!!!

Game playable in the Group Games area of the Shoebox.

Pontoon Grid is remade for Shoebox!
This is absolutely the same game as this week's Foldapuz game, so maybe it shouldn't count as the third game I've made this week.

.. But fuck it, it's too damn hot to come up with 3 smegging games in a week, let alone code the damn things!!

You can Play Pontoon Grid in the Shoebox under the Misc games.

Checkers!
It's checkers.
It does what checkers does, and hopefully isn't broke since I coded the last 50% of the game in the past couple of hours!!

Yeay!

A nice and simple Minigolf game, featuring what can only be described as half-arsed ball physics.
Hmm..
Now, what else could I do with those...
.... Hmmm........

This week's game is a reproduction of the classic card game "Spite and Malice". It's also been rebranded and trademarked as SkipBo, but I focused on the traditional version, so if SkipBo has any rule changes... I haven't added those!!

You can Play Spike and Malice in the Shoebox, under Card Games

Well, Otakupunk enjoyed it, so that's good!!
A couple of little quirks at the start, though. I think maybe the cache was struggling a bit. Not sure, really..

This week's game is a nice and simple word game.
Find a word which contains all three letters in the correct order, but with the added challenge of only being able to use letters once within the word.

I WAS planning on making the game Farkle, but all the online rulesets seem to conflict with each other and it's been hard to get a grip on what exactly I should be making! Eeek!

A classic Solitaire game.
Match 2 cards which combine to make 13 points, and try to remove all the cards from the pyramid.
Kings (worth 13 on their own) disappear with a click!

Isolation
A board game that I didn't know about until a few days ago.
Move your piece, then remove another tile from the board.
The plan is to trap your opponent so they can no longer move.

A hard, but do-able Solitaire game, today.

Each of the table piles can hold up to 3 cards (like the leaves on a Shamrock!)
Move cards between piles if they're one above or below each other, and aim to fill out the four foundation piles from Ace to King.
.. Tricky, but not impossible.

This week's Browsercade game was a fairly disappointing maze game, and it annoyed me that it ended up so disappointing.
And it preyed on my mind..
The thought bubbled away for a couple of days, until I went "I'll make a better maze game in Shoebox!!"

And, I did.
And it turned out fairly well.
It's basically a rip-off of Spinal's favourite puzzle game, but with multiple "pieces" to get to the goal.

A BlitzMax Level Generator was built, and there are a luxurious number of levels to play through, so ..

If you like that kind of thing.. Homepath is playable in the Shoebox!
(As usual, it might take a couple of reloads for the cache to catch up... I REALLY need to look into that!!)

This week, I realised Pool wasn't going to be done, early, so I instead opted to make a shorter game.
Chess!!
..
And then as the Saturday deadline approached, late last night, I realised that wasn't going to get done, so quickly changed to making a solitaire game in a couple of hours..
As you do..
So I now have half a pool game done, and half a chess game done, and .. a lot of other half-finished games, too..
Fuxake..
